How to Get Certified for the LEAP Program
Contact the local Department of Rehabilitation Field Office and set up a meeting
with a Rehabilitation Counselor. You will be sent a package of material for you
and your doctor to complete.
If you already have medical documentation pertaining to your disability you may
attach it to the package being sent to you and bring it along with your completed
portion to your meeting with the counselor.
The Rehabilitation Counselor will review all documentation, certify and sign the
form.
Once the rehabilitation counselor has certified your eligibility for the LEAP Program,
you need to find an open
LEAP exam.
Get a copy of the
LEAP brochure to answer your questions about the LEAP program and the classes
involved with the program.
