Job Description and Duties

Under the direct supervision from the Human Resources Manager in the Human Resources Unit, the incumbent performs work of average difficulty to provide analysis and program direction to GO-Biz in all areas associated with State Civil Service and the State’s Personnel Management Program.  Incumbent is expected to consistently exercise a high degree of confidentiality, initiative, responsibility and increasing independence in performing a heavy workload with a strong commitment to customer service, the incumbent is expected to be courteous and provide timely responses to internal/external customers and follow through on commitments.

Brown Jr. to serve as California’s single point of contact for economic development and job creation efforts. GO-Biz offers a range of services to business owners including: attraction, retention and expansion services, site selection, permit streamlining, clearing of regulatory hurdles, small business assistance, international trade development, assistance with state government, and much more.
