Job Description and Duties

The Water Use Efficiency Implementation Section Chief is responsible for overseeing the implementation of a variety of urban and agricultural water use efficiency programs including specific components of the 2018 Water Conservation Legislation, urban and agricultural water management planning, the Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance, water use efficiency grant programs and validated water loss audits. The Environmental Program Manager I supervises the Agricultural and Urban Unit Chiefs, provides technical and policy guidance to staff and advises DWR management on water use efficiency issues.
