Job Description and Duties

  • Enters recreational lobster report card data.
  • Sample sport caught barred sand bass, kelp bass and California halibut dockside and on commercial fishing passenger vessels.
  • Editing of commercial landing receipts and log books for soundness, entering numbers into databases, and filing completed paperwork.

  • Assist with field work activities

  • May preform maintenance of field equipment

Special Requirements

  • The position(s) require(s) a valid California Drivers License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application. Ensure you provide your CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.
  • Two years of college with 10 semester units in biology or other natural resource related studies
  • Good communication skills
  • Possession of a valid California driver’s license
  • Willingness to work irregular hours including a weekend day and to wear a uniform
