Job Description and Duties

Under the general supervision of the Office Services Supervisor I, the Office Assistant (OA) (Typing) will perform duties as a timekeeping clerk.  Review and submit CHP 415's (Daily Field Record) for pay and ensure completion on a timely basis to meet all FLSA/Pay Period deadlines.  Balance several monthly timekeeping reports for submission to division and headquarters.  Track overtime hours on varying spreadsheets and report results to area management and division personnel.  Answer/screen and direct incoming telephone calls to approximately 100 employees.  Answer inquiries about a multitude of matters that the area office handles. Enter all CHP Form 90's (Report of Court Appearance) into a database and ensure their completion.  Track and ensure witness fee refund requests are submitted to accounting.  CalATERS (travel) point of contact.  Review and submit transmittals for accuracy.  Prepare and distribute daily suspense items.  Perform daily mail run.  Maintain files on all time schedules for uniform and professional staff.  Book flights for officers and management.  Maintain travel files for all personnel.

  • The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
