Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager II in Facilities Services, the Staff Services Manager I supervises staff responsible for the maintenance and operations of all Lottery facilities statewide. 

  • Responsible for maintenance and operation of Lottery facilities 24 hours per day, 7 days per week 
  • Utilizes system data to effectively manage the overall maintenance and operation of facilities, including evaluating staffing levels and average response times, to assure all needs are met in a timely manner
  • Provide employee recognition or utilize the progressive disciple process as appropriate
  • Provide continuous evaluation of job performance including the utilization of probationary reports or individual development plans.  Identify training and development needs of staff, and ensure that they are met
  • Utilize the Lottery’s Project Management tools and guidelines for improvement and space development of Lottery facilities 
  • Monitor the Facility Operations Section Budget. Develops annual section budget and Budget Request Proposals.

  • Experience in facilities management, including sustainable design, construction and operations.
  • Knowledge of laws, rules, regulations and policies impacting the Lottery.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and pay attention to fine details
