Job Description and Duties

SENIOR MAINTENANCE AIDE (SEASONAL) ($12.72-$14.33/HOUR) - SIERRA DISTRICT / SUGAR PINE POINT STATE PARK


The reporting location is the Maintenance Shop at Sugar Pine Point State Park, Tahoma, and El Dorado County.

 

Under the direction of a Forester II, the incumbent will lead lower-level seasonal employees performing unskilled manual labor in cleaning up and maintaining State property.

 

The Senior Maintenance Aide (Seasonal) will lead seasonal Maintenance Aides in performing unskilled maintenance work; coordinates and leads the activities of seasonal conservation crews in cleanup and maintenance of State facilities; gives instruction in the safe and proper use of tools and supplies; inspects completed work for quality control and conformance to established standards; maintains and operates light vehicles; trains lower-level seasonal employees; and may assist permanent maintenance workers in unskilled maintenance tasks at park facilities.

 

A California Driver’s License is required.
