Job Description and Duties

The Employment Development Department (EDD) is one of the largest State departments and provides services to millions of job seekers and employers in an effort to build the economy of the Golden State. The EDD works hard to be recognized as a model for public agency quality and fairness and for providing outstanding customer service. The Audit and Evaluation Division supports EDD's goals by conducting independent, objective, and risk-based audits, evaluations, technical assistance, consultations, surveys, and other services to improve EDD's programs and functions. The Audit and Evaluation Division also ensures that EDD complies with laws, regulations, policies, and standards.

The EDD is seeking three Associate Management Auditors* to join the Audit and Evaluation Division. We are looking for three talented and motivated individuals who have excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, in addition to strong interpersonal skills. Experience as an auditor being a project lead in providing guidance to an audit team, and the ability to use computer software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and/or TeamMate are also desired. Because most of our work is performed either individually or in teams, applicants should like working with others and helping foster teamwork both as a member and as a leader. Finally, success in our office comes to those individuals who show initiative and are self-starters with a strong desire to be challenged to attain professional growth.

Normal work hours are 8:00 am-5:00 pm, daily.

*May hire at the Staff Services Management Auditor level for recruitment purposes.
