Job Description and Duties

Under supervision of the Special Assistant to the Chief Deputy, the incumbent performs a variety of analytical tasks related to the efficient functioning of the Attorney General's Scheduling Office. The incumbent independently reviews and analyzes scheduling requests; makes recommendations; drafts correspondence; answers phones; handles internal communications; acts as liaison to the Attorney General with elected officials, law enforcement agencies, professional organizations and advocacy groups; and responds to administrative emails sent to the Attorney General after conducting research. In addition, the incumbent will assist the Scheduling Director with setting up Attorney General sponsored events and coordinate with the External Affairs staff, the Office of Communications and external stakeholders. The incumbent may be expected to travel to staff the Attorney General at meetings throughout the State.

Additionally, the candidate should be able to adapt to work schedules of the Executive office and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and be able to travel when necessary to staff the Attorney General. Strong computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills are also highly desirable.
