    • Experience with, or demonstrated knowledge of federal and state Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Programs.

    • Broad administrative experience at the executive or senior level with substantial participation in the formulation, operation and/or evaluation of program policies.

    • Demonstrated ability to communicate and present effectively to a wide variety of internal and external audiences such as a public board, state legislators, and stakeholders.

    • Experience at the executive or senior level providing guidance and facilitation in the formulation of strategies, communications and messaging on highly sensitive and controversial issues.

    • Experience that demonstrates the ability to make executive-level decisions and effectively negotiate solutions with control agencies, the Legislature and other governmental entities and departments.

    • Demonstrated leadership ability in motivating and leading a multidisciplinary team and/or managerial experience directing a multidisciplinary professional and administrative staff, including experience in team development, mentoring and strategic planning.

    • Extensive managerial and program administrative experience which has included substantial responsibility for a combination of management functions such as program planning; policy formulation; business services, fiscal and personnel management.

    • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain cooperative and collaborative relationships both within an organization and with outside partners.

    • Demonstrated knowledge of the California legislative and budgetary processes, state agencies, and other governmental entities.

    • Demonstrated ability to draft and analyze legislation and provide testimony as necessary.

    • Possession of personal characteristics that include integrity, initiative, leadership, tact, sound judgment, and adaptability, as well as a strong customer service focus.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment.
