Job Description and Duties

The Administrative Services Unit is responsible for administrative support of the Child Welfare Digital Services Project (CWDS). CWDS is working to develop a new system to help Social Workers in the field have easy-to-access information about the children they serve. As the administrative support unit, we are the face of customer service to the project. In our unit, we believe in being creative, working hard, supporting each other, learning regularly, laughing daily, and always treating each other and our colleagues with courtesy and respect. Under the general supervision of the Administrative Services’ Staff Services Manager II, the incumbent is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to the Child Welfare Digital Services (CWDS) project staff, and to work as a team member as appropriate on general office work.

The salary noted does not reflect the 9.23% salary reduction in response to the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The salary reduction is effective July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2022, for SEIU collective bargaining employees. Employees will accrue two days of personal leave credit (equivalent to two days’ pay). per month.

Special Requirements

Supplemental Questionnaire

Typing Certificate Requirements

A typing certificate is required for this position certifying that you can type at a speed of not less than 40 words per minute from an ordinary manuscript or printed or typewritten material. You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed.

Acceptable Typing Certificates:

Typing certificates must be issued within the last four years and must be a certified test that meets the State Personnel Board requirements. Certificates are acceptable from the following institutions:

3. Adult Education Center

Internet Typing Certificates, Typing Certificates from Employment Agencies and Typing Certificates issued for less than a five (5) minute typing test are not acceptable.
